Yes you are correct it is Christmas day tomorrow and yes WR International will be on the air. Our program will be totally made up of UK Christmas number 1 hits of years gone by. Every track played will have been a Christmas number one hit in the UK. Dear shortwave radio friends !

 

Please let me inform you that Radio Wave Europe - RWE is going to broadcast its programme this Sunday, 25th of December 2011, at 11.00 UTC on shortwave frequency of 12257 kHz, via facilities of WR International.

The new show would contain, as usual, features on history of shortwave radio. This time we are going to tell you about a station broadcasting during the WWII from the territory of the USSR, as well as on a "pirate" radio station broadcasting from a ship in 1947.

Radar Serbia Radio on air Sat 17.12.2011 !

Small Serbian pirate station, Radar Serbia Radio, will have test broadcast to Europe on Saturday 17th December 2011 ! Station will be on the air from 20.00 - 23.00 UTC !! Frequency is very exceptional: 2023 kHz!! The power is only 40 Watts AM. Music will be rock.

Real challenge to hear !

FRSH Seasonal Broadcast Sun Dec. 18th 2011

Following successful December broadcasts in the past few years (but also long time ago), FRS-Holland will again take to the airwaves over the X-Mas Holiday Season. December 18th we will continue a long time tradition. On that day FRSH will be on 7600//5800 kHz between 07:52- 14:00 CET. After close down, the full programming will be repeated via the internet between 15:52- 22:00 CET: < http://nednl.net:8000/frsh.m3u>.  Pxs will be presented by Jan van Dijk doing the German show & Dave Scott will be playing classic rock. Both shows contain radio related items. Paul Graham will be hosting another classic FRS Golden Show playing great 60s/ 70s stuff as well as a feature on a land based  pirate radio station from years gone by. Peter Verbruggen will look back to what happened in the past on December 18th (Day Calendar) and plays a mix of 80s/90s/00s records in FRS Magazine. He will also host two FRS Goes DX editions with the latest news from the wonderful world of wireless. During all pxs we will read out October mail and Season's Greetings. There's also the Phrase that Pays. And: we make a flash back to December 1988 when FRS-Holland was on the air with a Seasonal broadcast. Remeniscing....23 years ago.....Tune in next Sunday and taste the spirit of December!! It will be worth while.

FRS-Holland Seasonal Broadcast December 18th

Sunday December 18th FRS-Holland will be on air with its annual special December broadcast. The broadcast will be on 7600//5800 between 07:52- 14:00 UTC/ 08:52- 15:00 CET. More info follows next week. That day we will feature a wide variety of quality pop music from the past 45 years along with several radio related programme items.

FRS-Holland offers you the opportunity to send in your December greetings to radio friends and relatives. Your contributions are highly appreciated and will add something special to our programmes! You can easily produce a little (written) message and send it to [frs@frsholland.nl]. It only takes a few minutes of your spare time.... We raffle a radio DVD among those who participate in our December broadcast with their Seasonal greetings. We'd like to ask you to do it as soon as possible as some shows will already be recorded this upcoming weekend. Don't hesitate but just do it! If you have the opportunity to send in an audio (mp3) clip you are more than welcome!
